Come and join us for the culmination of an exciting community musical project celebrating Manchester’s creativity and cultural ambition.

This informal event is your chance to hear new music specially written for the occasion and to meet the people involved in this project.  It promises to be a very special celebration of Manchester’s creativity and the future of St. John’s as a new neighbourhood of enterprise and culture.

About St. John’s Collective

Join a new kind of orchestra with like-minded amateur musicians, led by Glastonbury openers, UK Ensemble of the Year (RPS Music Awards 2017) and ‘Probably Britain’s most adventurous orchestra’ (The Times) – Manchester Camerata.

St. John’s Collective is a new musical initiative, inspiring people to be creative with classical music.

Players of all levels are welcome to come along with their instrument, to experience the joy of ensemble playing, and be mentored by some of the finest musical talent in the city.

Join the Collective

You don’t have to be a professional musician to take part. In fact, it doesn’t matter when you last played your instrument! All we ask is that you’d like to get together with other musicians and make some amazing music. You will be supported along the way through mentoring from Manchester Camerata’s world class musicians, and have the opportunity to perform in Old Granada Studios in late April 2018.

Please use the form below to tell us a bit about yourself and whether you’re available for the workshop dates in April 2018, which take place inside the iconic Old Granada Studios building on Quay Street.
